CipherLab cordless scanners are also able to pair and connect to your smart devices via Bluetooth HID Profile where CipherConnect isn't needed. Please use the "

Complete Google Account Registration and Sign In
Launch Google Play and Search for CipherConnect
Install or Update
Preparation for Scanner
Turn on the scanner, and wait until the LED indicator becomes flashing blue
Set the output interface as "BT SPP Slave"
Specify the PIN code for authentication (default: 0000)
The scanner is active at power-on for two minutes by default, waiting for a connection request from the smart device
** Please update the firmware of your CipherLab cordless scanner to enable the best connectivity.
** With Transmit Buffer enabled on the scanner, you can continue scanning data even you're out of Bluetooth connection range.
Connection
Go to "Settings" -> "Wireless & networks" and select "Bluetooth settings"
Turn on Bluetooth and select "Scan for devices"
Select CipherLab cordless scanner (e.g. 1660) and input the preset PIN code
The scanner is active at power-on for two minutes by default, waiting for a connection request from the smart device
Configuration
CipherConnect for Android works as "Input Method" and comes with English keyboard for you to input alpha-numeric and symbol characters
Go to "Settings" -> "Language & keyboard" and tick on "CipherConnect Pro"
Select "Touch Input" under previous checkbox -> "Bluetooth Device" and select the CipherLab cordless scanner you have paired
Check on "Bluetooth Device Status" to connect to the scanner, once connected the message "Connected" is displayed
** We suggest you to enable "Auto Connect". It allows the scanner to resume the connection when errors are gone after first initial connection.
Use
CipherConnect for Android acts as "Input Method" and comes with English keyboard and 7 additional languages as second keyboard option: Czech, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish for you to input alpha-numeric and symbol characters
Long press on the input field you would like to do data entry -> "Input Method"
Select "CipherConnect Pro" to start, you will be able to scan barcode and input text simultaneously

Click on "Magnifier" icon and Search for CipherConnect

From "Home", press "Menu" key, go to "Options" -> "Bluetooth"
Press "Menu" key and select "Add Device" -> "Search"
Select CipherLab cordless scanner (e.g. 1660) and input the preset PIN code
Once paired successfully, the message "Pairing with 1660 complete" is displayed on the screen
Configuration & Use
From "Home", press "Menu" key, go to "Options" -> "Applications" and select "CipherConnect Pro"
Click on "Edit Permissions" and make sure all three parameters are set to "Allow"
Press "Escape" key and click on "Save" to confirm the changes made
From "Home", go to "Download" and select "CipherConnect Pro"
Press "Menu" key and select "Connect to (a scanner, e.g. 1660)", a message "Bluetooth is connected" is displayed on the screen
Select "Switch Application" to switch in between applications, or "Close" to minimize the program
** We suggest you to enable "Auto Connect" in the "Setting". It allows the scanner to resume the connection when errors are gone after first initial connection.

** Some Windows Mobile devices support Bluetooth HID, so you will not need CipherConnect and should be able to connect CipherLab cordless scanners directly via HID.

Launch Marketplace and accept Microsoft's Agreement
Click on search field and look for CipherConnect
Select and Install
** You will need a Windows Live ID to proceed.

From "Start", select "Settings" -> "Bluetooth"
At "Devices" tab, click on "Add new device..." and wait for device scanning
Select CipherLab cordless scanner (e.g. 1660), press "Next" to input the preset PIN code, and press "Next"
Once paired successfully, the message "Your Pocket PC has connected with 1660" is displayed on the screen, then press "Done"
Go to "COM Ports" tab, click on "New Outgoing Port", select the scanner, then press "Next"
Select a COM port (e.g. COM2), and then press "Finish", tap "OK" to leave settings
Configuration & Use
From "Start", select "CipherConnect Pro"
Press "Menu" -> "Setting", tab "Open" and select the COM port you defined earlier, then tap "OK" to go back to CipherConnect
At "Menu", select "Close" to minimize CipherConnect and use other application, or "Exit" to stop CipherConnect
** We suggest you to enable "Auto Connect" in the "Setting". It allows the scanner to resume the connection when errors are gone after first initial connection.
